Shhh… Be Nice

I know I haven’t been writing often. But trust me, school is terribly busy. Term 3 is a horror for all school teachers.

But as usual, I have been scrapping! This project was made because I was super irritated with random people liking to hold small meetings/conversations/gossips just outside my work space, without the basic courtesy to keep their volume down. I was so irritated that I couldn’t help it by scrapping a notice. Hahaha, what an excuse!

Anyways, subsequently I think the situation did improved. But I don’t think it’s due to my notice though.

This was created using a Melissa Frances chipboard. Then I tried to dry brush it with gel medium to create a resist, and inking with both walnut and vintage photo. For the centre part of the background, decided to use a Prima mask and mist it with a mixture of lemon and gold.

Cut up some G45 Little Darlings to make the message less offensive. I’m also still hopelessly in love with the butterflies. I thought they look so soft and serene in this G45 series.

Inked up a Kaiser Craft wooden flourish to create a message. I’m really in love with these wooden flourish nowadays. Check out the new Christmas arrivals @Papermarket!

And basically that’s all. Simple project with an important message!

Materials Used: Melissa Frances Chipboard, Prima tiles, G45 Little Darlings pattern paper, Kaiser Craft Wooden flourish, Papermarket alphas, Prima Shabby Chic embellishment, Prima flourishes.

This Is Home

Yippee! It's August! I love August because of the holidays! And it's because it's Singapore's National Day.

Have you checked out the Uniquely Singapore album and page kits @ Papermarket? They are really cute embellishments, great for any very Singaporean photos.

Good for souvenirs to any of our foreign friends and associates.

Not to forget, Papermarket is also introducing START classes for both the page kit and the album kit. In these classes, you would be able to learn how to make good use of the pattern paper, stamps and other great techniques.

For example, the background behind the merlion is created using highlighters!

Many more layering using stamps and also how to stretch your stamps ability.

So, quickly sign up for the classes now and you stand a chance to hop on a Uniquely Singapore Hippo ride with Papermarket talented designers Sharon and Merdrey.

Kaiser Craft Blissful Hearts Bookends

I simply love the wooden pieces by Kaiser Craft. Recently there has been some new stocks at Papermarket. I grabbed a total of 3 pieces.

This particular one is a heart shape bookend, which is simply a great gift for any newly weds.
As my good old neighbor is getting married this month, I thought it would be a great gift for his wife and him.

I spent lots of effort decorating the walls and the heart shape, paying huge attention to small details. However, I super enjoyed the whole process. It's like decorating your own house and walls.

I also did a fair bit of fussy cutting the Webster journaling cards. Just couldn't resist the beautiful wedding pieces.

This whole piece is really easy to assemble and decorate. So what are you waiting for? Quickly pop down any Papermarket outlets to grab your Kaiser Craft pieces now.

Materials Used: Kasier Craft Hearts Bookends, Prima metal embellishments, flowers, swirls, pebbles and pattern paper, Grpahic 45 Romantique Pattern Paper, Fancy Pants Wedding pattern paper, Webster journaling cards and pattern paper.
